This fall we had the pleasure of shooting another local Des Moines, Iowa photographers wedding in the back yard garden of his childhood home in Ankeny.

Their day was so romantic. It was full of beautiful flowers, gorgeous fall light and tons of love. Ryan and Sam were high school sweethearts and both recently graduated from ISU this past spring. You can tell just from the photos that they just adore each other more than life itself!

Sam started off the day getting ready with her bridesmaids and mother as well as her adorable little niece as her family’s home in Ankeny. The ceremony a few hours later was in Ryan’s family’s back yard garden. We took a little break between the ceremony and reception time during cocktail hour to take some gorgeous portraits of the two of them out at nearby Saylorville Lake at sunset.

The day ended with a fantastic reception full of dancing, delicious food and fun in the white tent among the flowers of the garden and twinkling lights.

Ryan & Sam the two of you did such a fantastic job of planning your wedding day around what is truly important to you as a couple, Tanner and I had a blast capturing it and enjoy the photos!
