Matt and Jessi were married on June 18th in Storm Lake, Iowa. We’ve known them for years attending Buena Vista University with them as fellow Beaver alumni and I went on spring break with them in the spring of 2008. (Man I am getting old!) 🙂 This was our first official western themed wedding complete with cowboy hats and boots!
Jessi and her bridesmaids started off the day with hair by Simone Newell at A Touch Above Hairdesign in Storm Lake then headed off to the Baymont Inn for makeup and dresses. Since they didn’t see each other before the ceremony we did formals separately for Matt’s family and Jessi’s family before the ceremony at the Storm Lake United Methodist Church. The rain broke for a bit which was enough time to take some awesome outdoor formals of the bridesmaids in the middle of the road just outside the church.
Post ceremony we traveled to an awesome abandoned train station where yet again the rain stopped just in time! It was located just a few blocks from the church for wedding party formals as well as bride and groom portraits. The reception took place at Lake Ave. Lounge located on the 3rd story of a great historic building in downtown Storm Lake.
