Kicking off 2017 with the wonderful Scherers! Maggie and Michael had the best wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for a better winter wedding to kick off 2017!

We had the pleasure of shooting Maggie’s sisters wedding last April, and Maggie literally hours after she got engaged she Facebook messaged me she HAD to hire us. I love it!!!

Of course we said yes and the rest is history.

You and your family and friends are just the nicest to us, we truly felt like more than just your photographers!!!

The big day took place in Algona, Iowa and reception at the beautiful The Shores at Five Island Bay in Emmetsburg. Oh my gosh what a beyond beautiful spot for a wedding. Des Moines you need a Five Island Bay! 😉

You’d never know it but North Iowa was literally flooded on their wedding day. The ground was like quicksand with mud, we are so thankful Maggie was brave and we were able to do several outdoor photos!

The lake however I will say I sucked like quicksand into the mud. Ha! But for January and being 40+ degrees in Iowa we will take it!

Thanks so much for having us and Tanner and I had a great time capturing your big day. I think it’s evident from all the smiles and laughter we captured that you two truly love each other so much.

I was editing and astonished at literally how many AMAZING candid photos we captured. So much love and laughter…ALL DAY LONG. Makes our job so rewarding!
