Kelsy & David had the most beautiful fall wedding day. We started out with hair at Aveda Serenity Couture Valley West Salon/Spa at Valley West Mall. From there we headed out to makeup and getting ready at the Adel First Christian Church.

ztsphoto_2913Post ceremony we found a gorgeous nature preserve with an awesome weeping willow for some portraits and then off to the reception at the Hilton Garden Inn West Des Moines.ztsphoto_2904 Bella Flora Event Design decorated it beyond words. It just looked picture perfect!

We also had a blast photographing it along side the super talented Israel Lopez who runs Estuary Motion Studios. Israel actually did video for our own wedding last fall so it’s great to work with such talent! We HIGHLY recommend him for all your Des Moines wedding videography needs! Laura May + Chase Married | Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden Wedding | Des Moines Wedding Photographers

Loved this gorgeous fall day with Laura May & Chase! I promised myself I’d get all the blogs from the last 5 weddings pumped out before our first April wedding this year, ha! So here we go with another wonderful day to share! The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden is newly remodeled with an perfect garden space for photos and what a great new ballroom area for weddings!

ztsphoto_2695The day started out with getting ready at the Lutheran Church of Hope, post ceremony we headed downtown for some pre-sunset photos at the Capital and then at the gardens at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. The reception was all decked out in amazing gold with the most beautiful flowers by Something Chic Floral. Also Laura May had THE BEST cake topper custom made of the couples three amazing rescue dogs off Etsy.

We ended the night with a few fun night photos around the gardens and they had a wonderful dance party with the band The Snacks for everyone to jam out to.

When Wedding Photographers Take Snow Selfies…

Well our new wireless lighting system is a go! I fully approve!

Tanner and I played with our new setup in our backyard the other night during a light snowstorm and I couldn’t be happier with the ease of use to turn the power up and down fast and results.

We are ready to go for fun night shot ideas for engagements/weddings/etc for 2016! And add one cool more photo to the list that we need to print and frame at our house!
