Brenton Skating Plaza Des Moines Proposal | Des Moines, Iowa Wedding and Proposal Photogerapher

Over the years we’ve probably had 15 inquiries for proposals on ice at the Brenton Skating Plaza here in downtown Des Moines. They were INCREDIBLE for one of our winter engagement sessions and opened up the rink to us alone at sunset. In exchange we did some fun marketing photos for them for proposals!

I can’t honest think of a better spot to prose in the winter to your significant other than on at Brenton Skating Plaza. And if you do feel free to reach out to us to photograph it, we’d love to capture your big moment!

M + C Engaged | Brenton Skating Plaza Engagement | Des Moines, Iowa Winter Engagement Session | Ice Skating Engagement Photos

Oh my goodness this winter engagement session!!! What a PERFECT winter day for engagements here in Des Moines, Iowa! And I can’t say how much I enjoyed photographing ice skating engagement photos. Over the years I’ve had so many people inquire about it but we’ve always chosen another route. SO COOL to shoot a session on the ice!

Big thanks to the The Brenton Skating Plaza here in East Village Des Moines for opening up for us outside of business hours for the PERFECT sunset shoot before dark. You guys rock! I just can’t wait for your big day this next July at one of our favorite wedding venues here in Des Moines, Glen Oaks Country Club. Seriously can’t say enough great things about the insanely organized staff at Glen Oaks. They are above and beyond for weddings!

Erica + Jordan Engaged | Iowa Cubs Baseball Stadium Engagement Session | Des Moines, Iowa Engagement Photographers

Erica and Jordan are HUGE Chicago Cubs baseball fans so when they came to me with the idea to do their engagement photos at Principal Park home of the Iowa Cubs how could I say no!? A Cubs themed engagement shoot, sign me up!

It was so fun wandering around the stadium for photos at sunset, and so exiting to take photos that really embrace what bonds couples on things they love to do together.

Thanks to Principal Park and the Iowa Cubs staff for being so accommodating. So fun to do photos at the baseball stadium! I hope to be back someday! 😉

Post shoot we headed to one of my favorite sunset views of Des Moines on the river. Just what a beautiful pre-fall night for engagement photos!
