Before/After | Editing

Winter is a great time to reflect on our past year and dive in to learn new and try new things. Normally we use Lightroom for about 99% of our images but decided to dive a bit more into Photoshop tonight. Just a quick before and after edits of one of our gorgeous seniors from Des Moines this past fall.

What do you think?

Buena Vista University Football 2010 | Senior Day

If your viewing this on Facebook head over to our blog at www.ztsblog.com for the full post!

We shot the last Buena Vista University home football game of the year with a Canon 1D MK IV and a 300mm f/2.8 USM IS lens from CPS. I must say…WOW. We need two MK IV’s stat!

We hadn’t been able to get to any other games this year as we had weddings booked on those Saturdays. It was nice to actually make it to a game as well as shoot with some pretty sweet gear!

Below are just a few favorites from the game. The images are a combination of our 5D MKII, a Canon 1D MKIV, and the 300mm f/2.8L and 70-200 f/2.8L.

You can view the rest of the gallery and purchase images or digital files at our print site located at www.ztsphoto.smugmug.com in the sports section.

BVU Beaver Volleyball 2010 | Storm Lake, Iowa Sports Photographer | Buena Vista University Athletics

Ahh Fall sports are finally back in swing! Tanner snapped these photos and videos all last night at the BVU Volleyball game in Storm Lake, IA. These are all taken with a Canon 5D MK II and a 135L F/2 lens.

On a fun note for us as we are photo geeks…(as all photographers are…) we swamped out our 24-105L f/4 IS lens for a 24-70 f/2.8L lens this week. Going to pick it up tomorrow! Ahh its just like ZTS Christmas! The extra stop with the F will be fantastic for low light situations we have been facing lately with dark churches/receptions. Can’t wait to have that extra stop in there.

We also rented some fun lenses for our wedding and 3 engagement shoots coming up in early October. We shall be trying out a 35L F/1.4 and a 50L f/1.2. We are looking for a super low-light crisp and clean prime with great bokeh for weddings & portraits. We have heard fantastic things about both and are excited to compare and try them out over a few sessions!
