What a beautiful November day in Indianola for a wedding!

We’ve shot many weddings at Smith Chapel located on the beautiful Simpson College campus.

We were so glad fall stuck around till November for those amazing leaves!

The day started out with hair and makeup at Salon One Eighty in Indianola followed by the ceremony at Smith Chapel.

Next up was a quick Hawkeye bus ride to a local bar and finally out to Palmer Hall for the reception.

We did make a quick pit stop for photos on the way though, that beautiful sunset that made for the most amazing images!

Thanks for having us out; we had a blast capturing another Petersen’s siblings wedding.

Robinson Wedding | Central College Pella, Iowa Wedding | Des Moines, Iowa Wedding Photographer

Tanner and I had a great time capturing the Robinson wedding a few weeks ago in Pella, Iowa.ztsphoto_7553

We started off getting ready with the girls at the church, ironically Tanner and I shot one of our first ever weddings at the same church in oh gosh 2009? 2010? It’s so fun to return back 6ish years later!ztsphoto_7586The Second Reformed Church is just gorgeous, such a unique church in Pella!

You could truly tell how much Emily and her family love one another the entire day, loved this special moment with her and her father as he walked her down the aisle.

Post ceremony we headed out to this awesome little spot Emily found in Pella. They had gorgeous pine trees, a super cool bridge and the light was just perfect.

Steckelberg Wedding October 8, 2016 | Honey Creek Resort Wedding | Des Moines Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday we headed down to the beautiful Honey Creek Resort on Lake Rathbun, Iowa for Piper and Jared’s big day.

Piper and Jared didn’t see each other before the ceremony which gave me all the feels when Jared wiped away a tear as his bride walked down the aisle. How adorable is that!

I’ve known Jared for years as his sister was my matron of honor in our wedding and we had the pleasure of photographing another one of his sisters big days a few years ago.

He’s grown so much since then and it’s apparent he and Piper are truly so happy together!

Post ceremony we wandered around Honey Creek and all the beautiful fall spots on the resort. We headed out to the dock, down to dance on the rocks by the beach, and in the tall grass. What a beautiful time to get married and the perfect October wedding location!
