Keller Brick Barn | Rustic Barn Wedding Venue | Des Moines, Iowa Wedding Photographers

A few weeks ago Kady Godfrey one of the owners of the Keller Brick Barn wedding venue in Dallas Center messaged me for some fun venue photos. It is located just a few min Northwest of the Des Moines metro and what a gorgeous spot for a wedding! They even have air conditioning…which if you are looking for a barn wedding venue near the metro that is hard to find!

It’s a family owned venue that sits on a 100+ year old farm. They have poured so much work and love into renovating the barn and making it a unique and modern venue. They have installed chandeliers, had so much custom woodwork done that looks amazing and just really taken the time and care to make it unique and the perfect spot for a wedding. The barn was built in the 1930’s after the families previous barn was destroyed by a fire and was used for milking cows, storing horses and a hay loft for storage.

They have a wonderful room for bridal getting ready, as well as a small groom’s house that was originally a milk house to cool and store the milk from the cows.

They venue comes with tables and chairs (which is also wonderful!) and has a few spots you can choose for your ceremony the garden area by the barn or the pergola just to the South. There is plenty of parking so no worries there either!

Katie & Dustin Married | Tournament Club of Iowa Golf Course Wedding | Des Moines, Iowa Wedding Photographer

Katie and Dustin had THE PERFECT wedding day. The weather was just…beyond! Everything just absolutely cooperated for them.

We were back at the wonderful Tournament Club of Iowa golf course for their day, this time thankfully without a monsoon all day. SO much fun to get out and explore all the Spring growth on the course with them and the bridal party.

These two are just adorable, you can truly tell so much about spending the day with couples, it was full of laughter and love. I think the photos speak for themselves to say just how great these two are together. All their family and friends were tearing up as well as Katie during the ceremony. To me that is just so special! [: It shows how much everyone around them loves and supports their union.

Thanks so much for choosing Tanner and I to photograph your big day, we had a great time. And always a pleasure to work with some of our favorite vendors (The English Rose blew it out of the park for florals!

A Special Event DJ is wonderful as usual, apparently they are our wedding DJ for the month of May! LOL!). Thomas Wedding April 30th 2016|Tournament Club of Iowa Golf Course Wedding | Des Moines Wedding Photographers

Lucy & Nathan’s big day wins the award for rainiest wedding we’ve ever shot in the past 8 years! It literally rained the entire Saturday, which they say is good luck…but not always so much for photos, ha! They still made the best of it and braved the rain THREE times with us for quick portraits throughout the day. You’d never even know it was raining from all the smiles and laughter! They even ventured out into the darkness and rain for some sweet night photos.

We love shooting weddings at TCI (The Tournament Club of Iowa Golf Course) what a beautiful golf course with wonderful staff. We’ve never had to accommodate the guests inside for the ceremony before at TCI but they made the best of the rain situation and it turned out perfectly. Especially with all the elaborate floral arrangements and a string quartet playing softly, it sounded and looked absolutely stunning indoors!

I was in awe of the beautiful floral arrangements by LKB all day and we loved working with all the amazing vendors for their big day, some of our favorites listed below. Also note to all brides…hang lots of string lights. They make wonderful backgrounds for dance photos!

Thanks so much for choosing us to photograph your big day and for braving the rain so many times with us for portraits! Despite the rain I think we captured some priceless moments full of love and laughter, a little rain can’t get you down!
