ZTS Photo Updates June 2011

In light of the fact our awesome engagement session we had planned for this past Sunday was rained out here is a photo snapped from two weeks ago at the Des Moines River a few blocks from the loft. Spring along with lots of crazy storms has finally arrived!

This was hand held 5 second exposure at 16mm, so forgive the tiny shake.

Tonight we have a fun commercial shoot with the Apple Tree Inn in Indianola. Our second wedding of the year kicks off this Saturday with Chelsa and Zach in Forest City Iowa, followed up with an engagement session Sunday night in Clear Lake. We excited to get out there and shoot the next three weekends full of great weddings and fantastic people!

Also on order we have a 24mm Tlit-Shift lens and an 85L f/1.2 set to arrive Thursday. Can’t wait to try out the lenses at our weddings and shoots the next two weeks.

Des Moines Area Monthly Photographer Meet-Up : May Edition

Once a month the Des Moines Area Monthly Photographer Meet-Up takes place. It was started and still organized by the fantastic Sarah & Chris Davis of  Lucky Soda Photography here in Des Moines. It is great to meet other individuals in the area who shoot everything from commercial architecture to weddings. Also it is a valuable resource for bouncing ideas and creating new ventures with each other. Well that and just making new friends!

Tonights meetup was hosted by the spunky and knowledgeable Jeremy and Brian of dsmPhotoCompany at their fantastic studio just a few blocks south of downtown. Check out their awesome studio below!

It was great seeing you all, and props to Sarah & Chris for organizing this every month and to Jeremy and Brian for hosting tonight. I had a blast chatting with you all and meeting a few new friends!

Storm Lake Family Portrait Session | ZTS Photo

Last night Tanner and I shot a family session followed by an engagement session that started at Chautauqua Park in Storm Lake. Just wanted to post a quick pic from the beginning of the session.

Light this time of year is just starting to get awesome and so excited for a few other upcoming e-sessions on the books and some senior goodness. Well and I can’t forget all of our rockin’ June wedding couples too!

Also if you know any 2012 Seniors who are in need of a senior portrait session in Iowa please send them our way. We would love to come up with something unique and fun for their senior session!
