Happy Holidays from ZTS Photo

It has been a while since we posted a personal post and this was just too cute to pass up! Happy holidays from our happy little bulldog Dexter, he is loving the fireplace weather and Christmas tree!

Our last commercial shoot of 2013 was today and can’t wait to share quite a few fall weddings and family shoots before the end of the year on the blog.

Thanks all to being great clients and we can’t wait to see what 2014 brings!

Shout-out to Makensie | 3rd Shooter Praise!

A little over a year ago Tanner and I started the discussion that with all our gear, lights and craziness that shooting weddings brings that we could REALLY use some help for a few of our big 2012 weddings. Thus began the discussion and adventure of finding a 3rd shooter.

We tossed around several ideas for names and no one seemed quite the right fit. Tanner took his very first  photography class at BVU that spring of 2012 (yeah I know, as a geeky biology major in a photo class?! I think he was a bit ahead of the learning curve shooting weddings for the past 4 years!) he found a sophomore that he thought had what it took to join us.

Quite a few times he asked me my thoughts and never meeting Makensie before I was hesitant but eventually gave in. If he was this strong willed about her being fantastic she had to be something!

Thus for quite a few weddings in 2012 Makensie Brown interned or 3rd shot with us. She was just FANTASTIC! It was also fun too to see how much she learned and grew as a photographer between her first wedding with us in April and the last one she shot with us in late September.

Head on over to her Facebook page Kensie’s Photography and feel free to follow her, I see big things out of this chick in the future and don’t forget to check out her website http://www.kensiesphotography.com/

She truly has the personality, drive to learn and necessary people skills it takes to make it as a wedding photographer.

Kensie you are just remarkable, although I am sure no one needs to tell you that. Thanks for all your wonderful help this past wedding season and I sure hope we can capture you to 3rd shoot with us a bit in 2013 among all your own wedding clients, senior year of college and fantastic worldly adventures you are on this semester! I promise you can have our 50L glued to your camera! 😛
