Kami was just so much fun to shoot with! She is going to be a senior this fall at Garner-Hayfield High School in Garner, IA. She is a lifeguard in town at the local pool and her father is a fire fighter. We started out with a few family photos with the fire engine just south of Garner at a park around 5:30pm last Sunday.
There was an overgrown field just behind the park where they parked the fire engine so we decided to take the family back there for a few shots as well.
Here are a few individuals of Kami with the truck
From the park we headed down the road to a small town just outside Garner where Tanner had driven through recently and thought would be just perfect for some shots at a few locations in town. (Don’t tell him but he was right!) 😉 We originally shot with the umbrella but it turned out to be a tad bit too windy so we had to break out the soft-box again. A big shout-out to Kami’s boyfriend for helping us out with the lighting for most of the shoot! Really, he did a great job!
Across the street from the little white building was a great location that we set up some great 580 ex II light stuff. Enjoy!
From there we headed back to Garner for a few shots around town. Kami had no fear as you can see from the shots and even had great posing ideas herself!
Next we headed off to another spot in town for some natural light head-shots.
The Elementary School park was the next stop on Kami’s pics.
After some shots at the park we finally headed back to the open field where the day began for some shots in her prom dress at sunset. Tanner’s mom had just re-upholstered an antique chair so we brought that along as we thought it might be a great prop. The light was fleeting fast but we got some great images!
Thanks for being amazing to work with Kami. We got some of our favorite images ever from your session!
