Kendra and Jesse battled some crazy rain all day off and on for their October wedding at the gorgeous Barnes’ Place barn wedding venue in Adel.
They truly made the best of it by utilizing the gorgeous interior of the venue!
And their adorable little son just stole the show all day. What a little sweetheart!
Somehow for the first year all our October weddings sadly had some crazy rain a majority of the day! October is hands down such a gorgeous month for a wedding so I can’t tell you how sad this made us!
Thankful for such fun venues for indoor photos!
The downpour stopped just in time for all the bridal party to brave the outdoors for photos and we were pretty limited on where we could and couldn’t go due to mud but we truly made the best of it!
They were off and on if they could have an outdoor ceremony due to the serious amount of mud but last min they decided just to go for it.
The sun poked out and all their guests made the best of the journey to the gorgeous ceremony spot overlooking the lake!
Post ceremony Barnes’ Place was SO kind as to tote us around with the bride and groom for photos in the fields and pine trees surrounding their amazing property. What service!
Usually on wedding days we scout amazing locations before the ceremony but due to the torrential rain we played it by ear and stumbled upon some awesome spots.
Kendra and Jesse were so brave and still ventured into the pine tree forest creating some of my favorite bridal portraits we’ve done all year!
That light was just perfection.
Post ceremony the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour outside the barn followed by dinner and dancing.
Kendra owns a dance studio so her gals surprised them after the first dance with a choreographed dance that Kendra and Jesse joined in at the end. So fun!
We ended the night with some amazing night portraits outside the barn. What a gorgeous wedding!
