Elizabeth and Nick have THE BEST story of how they meet and fell in love! I was in awe and absolutely loved it when I heard it too.

Elizabeth was in Colorado dog sitting for a family friend and Nick was in town on vacation with his best friend. They at random meet at a bar one of her last nights in town and he invited her to join in on a baseball game with them the next day. Well she sure did! They ended up staying in touch and her being from Kansas and him from Minnesota they meet every three weeks in the middle for dates, here in little old Des Moines, Iowa!

A few months of dating in the city of love (being Des Moines, ha!) and Elizabeth moved up to live with Nick in MN. They now have two adorable dogs together and are just such a fun couple! I loved everything about their wedding day. He even popped the question at the stunning Iowa Capital building, which holds a special place now for both of them.

Des Moines being their city of love they decided it the ideal place to have their wedding, also being a halfway point for families and friends traveling from both Minnesota and Kansas. Thus Tanner and I ended up on June 10th sharing in a splendid wedding at the Temple for Performing Arts here in downtown Des Moines with Elizabeth and Nick! How cool is that?!

The day started off with the girls getting ready with hair and makeup at the Beauty Brands Salon in Clive. The final getting ready touches were done at the Marriot Downtown here in Des Moines and ceremony and reception both at the gorgeous Temple for Performing Arts. I must say if you are looking for an amazing wedding venue here in Des Moines check out the Temple, every time we shoot a wedding there I just love it more and more!
