I had a blast photographing the 2014 Drake Relays for an afternoon. Such a great annual event in the Des Moines area. If you haven’t been, be sure to check it out in 2015! I must say the long jump is probably my new favorite thing to photograph, loved all the flying sand!

Oh man, dream come true status right here! We’ve shot many a football, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball and Iowa High School state wrestling tournament but cheers to the Drake Relays! I seriously had such a blast. Just a few of my favorite long jump ‘jumps’ below. These boys have some serious ups don’t they!
